They support adults with learning disabilities in the comfort of their own home. As their Care Manager, you will play a pivotal role, you will be the face of the service and the one that cascades the values of the organisation to your team and to the community. You will have the needs of the people you support at the heart of what you do, and you will lead your team to deliver only the best care. You will manage the service in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Manager, Registered Provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, and in line with accepted best practice, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time with the Registered Provider. This will initially be to manage one of our supported living schemes. This involves supporting the House Manager and staff team of that scheme to deliver care provision for four service users with multiple complex needs. Main Duties (not in any order of priority): - Develop effective working relationships with the Registered Manager of The Service. - Positively, fully support and implement the decisions of the Registered Manager. - Create and uphold an open, positive and inclusive management culture. - Participate in the development of the service's policies. - Share in the development of strategic plans for the service. - Participate in evaluation of the service against agreed organisational goals, as well as business and quality objectives. - Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships. - Minimise legal risks. - Participate in the maintenance of the service's management information systems. - Assist in the formulation and implementation of support policies and procedures. Formulate and implement support policies and procedures. - Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration of the service. - Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the support standards and support service provision. Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise. What qualifications and experience will you need? - You will be determined and passionate about care and have the leadership skills to deliver excellence; - Knowledge and experience of learning disabilities. - Clinical skills/experience would be advantageous. - You will have some management experience is a Health and Social Care setting. - Being a car driver is essential; - You will be a positive, hardworking role model who shares these values and is able to build lasting relationships in the community.
